BETA NOTICE
Studio Comms is in beta. These terms describe how the platform is currently offered and will be reviewed by counsel before the platform opens to the general public. Questions: legal@studiocomms.live.
By creating an account or making a booking on Studio Comms, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Studio Comms. If you're using the platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
You're responsible for the activity on your account. Keep your password private. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep it accurate over time, especially payout details if you're a creator receiving money.
Studio Comms is a platform that connects creators with the people who book them. We're not a party to the session itself. The creator and the client are responsible for the content of their session, the agreement between them, and any tax or legal obligations that arise from it.
Creators retain ownership of content they produce. By using the platform, you grant us the limited license needed to host, transmit, and process your content for the purpose of running the service — nothing beyond that.
Don't use the platform to share content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, is harassing, or violates standards a reasonable person would expect of a professional platform. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that do.
Studio Comms charges a 5% platform fee on each transaction processed through the platform. Stripe charges its own payment processing fee (approximately 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction), passed through at cost. The remaining balance is paid to the creator via Stripe Connect.
Founding creators (the first 10,000 accounts) keep the 5% rate for the lifetime of their account. After 10,000 accounts have registered, new signups may be subject to a different rate; this will not affect founding accounts.
Refunds and cancellations are handled by the creator on a per-booking basis. Studio Comms doesn't issue refunds directly except in cases of platform failure, fraud, or where required by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
The platform is provided "as is" during beta. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime, and features may change, be added, or be removed as we develop the product. We'll communicate material changes when we can.
To the extent permitted by law, Studio Comms is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
This limit doesn't apply to liability that can't be limited by law — for example, gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
You can close your account at any time by emailing legal@studiocomms.live. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that pose risk to the platform or other users. Some obligations (like fee payment for completed bookings) survive termination.
We'll update these terms as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes, we'll notify registered users. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
